When you admire this double strand of akoya pearls in front of the mirror for the first time, one thing will be unmistakable – nothing quite compares to fine Japanese akoya pearls. You will look radiant wearing them.
The pearls measure 7.0-7.5 mm, the most popular size in akoya pearls. This is considered a nested strand, so the pearls fall nicely with each strand side by side. The inner strand measures approximately 17 inches, and the outer strand measures approximately 18 inches. This length tends to fall loosely around the neck.
The pearls are individually knotted on twin silk, accented by diamond bars and the necklace finished with a solid 14 karat gold and diamond clasp with 0.36 cttw.
Akoya pearls are known for their perfect round shape and unmistakable luster unique to pearls grown in the cold coastal waters of Japan. The finest pearls from this region are known for their mirror-like luster and smooth surfaces
For decades we have been working with the same family-run farms in Japan. These families understand our rigorous grading standards and select pearls specifically for us. They ensure the pearls we offer fall within the top range of the AAA category. This is something we know you’ll appreciate the moment you open the box.
