This lovely 16 inch strand of pearls is composed of lustrous, natural-color akoyas featuring silver-blue bodycolor. The pearls appear to change color ever so slightly when moved in different degrees of light. The shape of these pearls is known as free-form baroque, as the pearls exhibit an organic shape without an axis of symmetry.
Akoya pearls are usually known for their perfect round shape and pure white color. But once in a while the mother oysters create rare, natural colors with organic shapes that are simply beautiful.
For decades we have been working with the same family-run farms and processors in Japan. These families understand our rigorous grading standards and select pearls specifically for us. They ensure the colors are completely natural, and every baroque pearl has been artistically matched throughout the strand. This something we know you’ll appreciate the moment you open the box.
