When you slip this bracelet onto your wrist your day will change. You will catch yourself staring, mesmerized by a luster and ever-changing play of subtle colors most never experience. It’s a beauty only found in the finest, top-graded hanadama akoya pearls. You will truly enjoy wearing this bracelet.
The pearls in this bracelet measure 8.5-9.0 mm, a substantial size for akoya, but still wearable every day. Each pearl is individually knotted on twin silk, and the bracelet is finished with a solid 14 karat clasp. The knotting ensures your pearls never rub or scratch, and the clasp comes equipped with a safety catch to keep it secure.
Although akoya pearls are known to be classically white with a hint of rose, this is a look that is in influenced post-harvest. In order to achieve this desired color, they are put through a process known as pinking. This is a universal process that nearly every akoya pearl has gone through.
We believe, however, that this treatment is not always necessary! By partnering with producers in Japan, we are able to offer a selection of these rare pearls that is simply unrivaled. The pearls have each been hand-selected from freshly harvested pearls for their naturally white body colors and intense natural luster, with just a hint of rose. The pearls are so beautiful, they have skipped the traditional treatment process.
For decades we have been working with the same family-run farms in Japan. These families understand our rigorous standards and select these special pearls specifically for us. They ensure the pearls are only the top range of the hanadama category.
Once the natural-white hanadama pearls are selected, they are imported and graded by our Chief Creative Officer, Hisano. She examines every strand and every pearl to ensure the quality is always the same, rejecting any pearls that do not fall within the highest hanadama range. This is something you will recognize the moment you open the box. These pearls will take your breath away.
Accompanying your bracelet is a uniquely numbered and laminated pearl quality report prepared by the Pearl Science Laboratory of Japan, which not only describes in detail the beauty and perfection. it also certifies that there is no color treatment found in any these pearls.
